Today a new beginning, tomorrow a understanding
Yesterday my name was treated like a child
Today my name is a growing adult
Tomorrow my name will be the one who they thought would never make it
Deep down I make the choice to succeed rather than fall
Today a new beginning, tomorrow a understanding

my Real Name is # 1
The lesser myself today, the more for tomorrow I am
Yesterday my name was Dominique.
Today my name is kind hearted, a rare gem of the soul.
Tomorrow my name will be the absent, the hiding, the sleeping.
Deep down I know my name is love to share with only one.
But the lesser myself today, the more for tomorrow I am.

Tomorrow my name will be the absent, the hiding, the sleeping.
Deep down I know my name is love to share with only one.

Image # 3
This picture instantly made the words " giving up" pop into my head. I feel as if im letting myself go, as if im faling without ease or dexterity to what i could fall upon. The girl to me resembles the weight of the world pushing down against her without hesitation as if shs literally being oushed through the floor. The expression on her face makes me think that she is careless with what is happening around her.
Image # 1
When i look at this photo i feel like im traveling to a place unknown, dull yet numb to the surroundings and the world. As i look into the distance i see emptiness and wastelands filled with sand, past lives and stories that will never be told again. A place where we dump ourselves so we can lose grip on reality. I feel sadness for the long distance we must travel on the railroad tracks to a never ending journey.

Natures Finest

Nature’s venomous taste on the tip of my tongue.
Burning and scolding, words are now dust.
A curious tune, forever a song unsung.
Lies creep through a life's work gone undone.
These treacherous fiends, these promises a must.
Nature’s venomous taste on the tip of my tongue.
Fermented, a delicate bouquet of emotions is hung.
Intoxicating all senses, a poisoned perfume luring with lust.
A curious tune, forever a song unsung.
Stun the heart, for a cry is among
Impure is the blood, turning to rust.
Nature’s venomous taste on the tip of my tongue.
Speculate wonders, recall fragile strings unstrung.
Eyes blossom no more, no sight in August.
A curious tune, forever a song unsung.
Surroundings unfamiliar, savages adjust.
Laughing, mocking, words of disgust.
Nature’s venomous taste on the tip of my tongue.
A curious tune, forever a song unsung.
Shades of white and gold
Rays shade my eyes as the sun rises to greet me with the morning. Thick curtains reflect the colors of greens and blues shimering and dancing around the white walls of my room. My skin glistens under blankets of gold and white signaling my waking and dawing of the day to start and end. Fragrances fill my lungs and scent the air of lingers til new perfumes of food arrive.

Comment to Erin Greib
I really like your line " i am uncertainty that keeps you awake at night" This makes me feel like i am the uncertainty, the reason why im awake at night. Your structure is direct and to the point, nice job :)
Full moon me (Dominique Lee)
I am deep and distinctive red flowing from the veins when oxygenated
A square thats equal yet parallel on all sides
The thunder before the rain swells the earth all around
Proud as a leopard, stealthy and deadly to my prey
Simple yet complex when lyrics are dancing around in my head
Forever young when 21 is yet to come
The core of existence, the very fabric of time
Vintage worn out love seat filled with memories never forgotten
Music for the heart and soul
Italy where romance and fine cuisine brings beauty to the eyes Fire smothering the decay of the old and bringing anew
Forever lasting oak tree with bark telling a centuries old tale
A heart restarted, a gasp for a breath
I am life reborn

What lips my lips have kissed
by Edna St. Vincent Millay
What lips my lips have kissed, and where, and why,
I have forgotten, and what arms have lain
Under my head till morning; but the rain
Is full of ghosts tonight, that tap and sigh
Upon the glass and listen for reply,
And in my heart there stirs a quiet pain
For unremembered lads that not again
Will turn to me at midnight with a cry.
Thus in winter stands the lonely tree,
Nor knows what birds have vanished one by one,
Yet knows its boughs more silent than before:
I cannot say what loves have come and gone,
I only know that summer sang in me
A little while, that in me sings no more
This poem makes me experience many emotions and situations where life is either being taken away or love is being lost. When reading, i feel the pain and emorse for the memories and little moments shared between two lovers.

The New Beginning
Things have been going great lately, i have a fresh start and the most incredible girlfriend in the world. I am already planing out my future, i know how im going to accomplish my goals and dreams in life. I am ready, i know i am. Right now college is then hardest thing i have been thinking about lately, currently i am thinking about going to macomb community college because its affordable and i will also be able to save money for when i transfer to University of Michigan so i can go to the school of art and design. Its really crazy to think that im already on track with graduating and starting my life after high school.
Life is changing before me, i can already see how much i have grown as a person and how i am becoming an adult. So many changes are happening and im loving what those changes are bringing me, nothing but good fortune. For now while im still in high school im just going to lay back and breathe in life, friends, school, and all the other good things around me. Also i hope the play "to kill a mocking bird" challenges all of my creative abilites so i can improve my skills as an artist and a designer. I want to give this production all that i can and make it the best it can be.
